**A new study in the journal Applied and Environmental Microbiology found sauerkraut, which is fermented cabbage, may provide substantial benefits to gut health, supporting digestion and helping protect against illness.

UC-Davis professor Maria Marco says some of the metabolites they found in the sauerkraut are the same kind made by the gut microbiome.

She says that gives them confidence that the connection between sauerkraut metabolites and good gut health makes sense.

**After a year-long investigation into Section 301, the U.S. Trade Representative announced action to restore American shipbuilding and address China’s unreasonable policies to dominate maritime, logistics, and shipbuilding sectors.

Floral hemp has emerged as the industry’s driving force, with production more than doubling.
