We’re now days away from the 2025 Citrus Showcase, put together by California Citrus Mutual. This week I sat down with Casey Creamer, President and CEO of the organization...

“It’s the premier event of the year that we have in the California Citrus Industry. It’s a one-day deal, it’s a blitz-in, blitz-out. We get over 1,000 people.”

Bringing insight from the Sunshine State to the Golden State is part of this year’s agenda…

“During our morning program is Dr. Dr. Marisa Zansler. She’s an economist with the Florida Department of Citrus.”

Her presentation will include a status update of what is happening in Florida as it pertains to citrus greening or Huanglongbing…

“Florida is predominately a juice state, there is a little bit of fresh market stuff. And, in California, we’re predominately fresh-oriented with juice being a byproduct. Really, that’s sort of the rationale to having her coming out form Florida, being the expert, being a nonbiased participant that can really raise the level of awareness when it comes to the juice market and how we can make that work in California."

The 2025 Citrus Showcase will be March 12 at the Visalia Convention Center. For more, visit https://www.cacitrusmutual.com/2025-citrus-showcase/
