The California Department of Food and Agriculture Office of Farm to Fork (CDFA-F2F) is now accepting applications for the Farm to Community Food Hubs Program, offering up to $13.75 million in grants. This initiative supports the development and expansion of community food hubs to increase the availability of local, climate-smart, and nutritious foods in schools and other institutions across California.

Eligible organizations can apply under two funding tracks: Track 1 Planning grants, which support early-stage planning efforts, and Track 2 Infrastructure and Operations grants, which assist with food aggregation, distribution, and operational costs. Additionally, up to 10% of the funds are set aside for projects led by California Native American Tribes and Tribal-led nonprofits.

By strengthening food distribution systems, this program aims to enhance local farming economies, promote climate resilience, and ensure fair wages for food system workers. Interested applicants must submit all required materials 5 p.m. PDT on April 14, 2025.
