Save Family Farming Leadership Pt 1
From the Ag Information Network, I’m Bob Larson. Save Family Farming, a Washington-focused farm advocacy group, has named a new Executive Director.Ben Tindall joins Save Family Farming, with 20 years of experience working with state and federal governments, including his most recent position as Governmental Affairs Coordinator at the Washington Farm Bureau …
TINDALL … “Through my work with Farm Bureau and engaging over the past several years with farmers and ranchers, I’ve really developed just a passion and love for this group of people and the work that they’re doing to sustain both our state as well as really the world as they’re working to feed and clothe us all.”
That, Tindall says is how he became aware of the challenges for farmers …
TINDALL … “I’ve also, through that role, became very aware that farming is something that one, needs to be fought for and it’s in crisis and there are a lot of pressures and additional regulations and struggles that farmers and ranchers are facing.”
As for the biggest challenges he’s facing …
TINDALL … “The large issues that we’re dealing with that really have kind of been in the works over the past year or more, one is issues with labor.”
Listen tomorrow for more on Tindall’s mission at Save Family Farming and why he’s so excited to help farmers and ranchers and the ag industry.
