Beef Demand Continues
This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Wednesday. The Cattle market kicked the week off with a bang as prices rallied following a long weekend. Let’s go to Oliver Sloup with the CME Group to hear more.
Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for July closed the day Dn 25, to finish at 5-91. July Corn was Dn 10, to finish the day at 5-94. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for July were Dn 35 ½, to settle at 7-83 ¾.
Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Unch – Dn 15, ranging from 7-10 to 7-45. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for July were Dn 05 - Unch, ranging from 6-95 to 7-30. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for Aug. were Dn 33 ¾, ranging from 8-50 ½ to 8-60 ½. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Aug. were Dn 24 ¾, ranging from 8-69 ½ to 8-74 ½.
Live Cattle for Aug. was Up $2.00, closing at 167.17 ½. Aug. Feeder Cattle were Up $3.85, to finish the day at 237.77 ½. June Class III milk was Dn $.32 to settle at 15.56.
