From the Ag Information Network, I’m Bob Larson. A significant delegation of representatives from the Washington Farm Bureau just returned from the American Farm Bureau Federation’s Annual Convention.

Farm Bureau President, Rosella Mosby was on hand, along with First Vice President, Bridget Coon who says WFB was well represented …

COON … “The Washington Farm Bureau was very well represented at the annual American Farm Bureau Federation Convention in San Juan, Puerto Rico. We just got back with a lot of really great ideas to strengthen our efforts on behalf of farmers and ranchers in Washington. And really strengthened our representation and activity out in the American Farm Bureau where our federal policy work gets done.”

Coon says it was a good crew to travel with …

COON … “There were about 18 of us, mostly members and a few of our key staff. This is the first time I was there to represent Washington Farm Bureau as a delegate in the policy session. So, that was a new experience for me.”

But her biggest takeaway, Coon says …

COON … “Yeah, I was really interested in how the American Farm Bureau policy session would go, especially as compared to our policy session in our Washington Farm Bureau Annual Meeting.”

Tune in tomorrow for more on Washington Farm Bureau’s trip to the American Farm Bureau Federation’s National Convention in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
