Indiana-based Traction Ag recently announced the launch of a new cloud-based farm accounting application, giving farmers the ability to manage cash accounting transactions on any computer, phone or tablet.

Director of Marketing Brian Stark says they’re providing a single platform for useful farm accounting information.

Stark… “When you look at farmers today, they use a variety of different software packages on their computer. We know a lot of them use QuickBooks. A lot of them have spreadsheets to track their data, different point solutions. I guess the heartburn comes in when you have all these different types of solutions that don't really integrate together and work together as one platform. That's where you kind of lose out when it comes to managing your farm.”

Stark and his cofounders have a history with Farm Works Software, so they know this space well. They’ve made it easy and intuitive for new customers to get started.

Stark… “You probably will spend about, maybe 10 minutes to be up and running with it. There's really a three-step process. The first step is set up your entities, which you can have as many entities as you want, that's another advantage of us versus other accounting systems. The second step is to set up your bank connection. We have thousands of banks that are already preloaded in the software. And the third step is quite simple: it's just your chart of accounts.”
