It's given that Judge Alito's confirmation hearing is nasty business, but what is stuns me even in this ear of extreme lobbyists. (that would make a good TV series) is that radical animal rights groups, bent on removing meat from our menus and animal husbandry from our universities and highs schools, can penetrate our high court. Stephen Dujack who calls himself an environmental writer under the guise of an extremist was appointed as a witness to the high court hearings. Naturally he was expected to voice a hearty opposition to Samuel Alito' confirmation and in the nick of time he was exposed and dismissed from the hearing over an article he had written for the "Los Angeles Times" where he equated raising livestock to the holocaust. Poor guy, that article came back to haunt him. And when he was ousted he apologized to the media for writing something that he says hurt a lot of people. I find it ironic he was exposed before he could damage another. I'm Susan Allen and this is Food Forethought Center for Consumer Freedom Monday, January 09, 2006 9:07 AM
