Ninety one year old Jimmy James A FARM BUREAU member for 72 years cut the ribbon at a a new Farm Bureau agency in Meridian, Idaho. In the old days Meridian was the center of Idaho's dairy industry and farm bureau insurance was farmer owned, For farmers.

 

“1947 My folks and I. wanted to. first on Farm Bureau Labor farmers.”

 

James says Farm Bureau insurance is for farmers and city people.And once tiny Meridian, now has a hundred thousand people making it the third largest city in Idaho. And as communities grow so does Farm Bureau.

 

Farm Bureau Agent Kerry Baxter: “Farm Bureau has been around since that time and then they've ventured out to where they literally do everything. Now we're a multi line agency so we cover everything that all of these people are coming in here. Obviously the Boise market Meridian area this whole valley a lot more city stuff and that's what we specialize in as well.

 

Regional Executive Brent Hunter:: “Our products now are pretty broad and there's not a whole lot that we can't cover so a lot of people like having a one stop shop for them. But our products we're able to meet that for them.”

 

Idaho Farm Bureau is growing during this time of explosive growth because agents know Idaho. Regional Executive Brent Hunter: “We’ve lived here in Meridian for 30 years and we've watched it grow and we embrace the growth and the change and we're here to help people during this period of time.”

 

This is the third farm bureau office in Meridian. A grand opening that demonstrates commitment to a growing Idaho for farmers and city residents as well.
