Yesterday I told you how I got setup. I'm Jeff Keane; today I try to get even.
My brotherinlaw, Vince did a good job of setting me up to get out on the ocean and got a good laugh while I was on my knees telling all the fish some real stories. I'm a pretty slow thinker, but even as I was talking to the fish I was thinking Vince likes to hunt and look good deer, but doesn't care for horse riding, maybe something could be worked out. Well later that summer, Vince was visiting and I mentioned I know where we might see a good buck, but we would have to ride horses to see him it's just a short ride Vince. He took the hook or so I thought. I saddled up the horses and we went to look for the deer. I'm thinking it just might be a little longer ride than you think Vince you won't get seasick but might have a mighty sore trailer hitch tomorrow. I found the buck way to quick and as he went over the hill I just sat and watched as Vince went over the hill after him. A pony express rider mounted on Seabiscuit couldn't have caught Vince and ranch horse Marty as they got a second look at the deer. I thought he said he didn't ride very well. I felt just like Wile E Coyote my bestlaid plan had just blown up in my face and the roadrunner just went over the hill in a smoking run. It was years before the revenge gods smiled on me I had given up, but early one hunting morning that roadrunner finally hit the dirt. I really did think that saddle was tight enough, Vince. I'm Jeff Keane.
