Washington Wine Month Pt 1
With today's Fruit Grower Report, I'm Bob Larson. If you weren't already aware, August is Wine Month in Evergreen State, and this year the Washington State Wine Commission is all over it ...BRADSHAW ... "So, Washington State Wine has unveiled a brand-new campaign. It's for August Wine Month, but it's actually going to run through the Fall. It's called "The New Epicenter of Wine" and we feel like we have the accolades to kind of back-up some messaging and so we're going in a bold new direction and taking some new innovative approaches to spread the word about our great wine region."
The Wine Commission's Heather Bradshaw says "The New Epicenter of Wine" campaign takes several approaches ...
BRADSHAW ... "So, we're trying out various, different, you know, advertising opportunities through different sort of channels, whether it be a website or social media, working with some influencers doing some targeted campaigns towards a little bit of a younger demographic while also hitting the Boomer and everyone else as well with some new messaging."
And, Bradshaw says if you want to be in the know ...
BRADSHAW ... "We have a Wine Month website which is www.winemonth.com and it features a calendar of promotions including winemaker dinners, discounts at wineries and restaurants, tasting events, and other events and promotions throughout the entire month of August. And, this is actually powered restaurants, retailers, hotels and wineries. And so, they all offer their own deals for Washington State Wine Month."
