The USDA has a new interactive website it hopes will become a one-stop shop for farmers, ranchers and private foresters across the nation.

Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue spoke about the site recently at a Farm Bureau breakfast

The Secretary says the site Farm.gov will be maintained by the USDA and it's goal will be to be user friendly.

((WE name it something simple to every farmer can understand. It's Farmers.gov and it ought to be a portal for everything a producing farmer needs to know regarding their crops, any information about where their service agency is located.))

He says he hopes farmers will use the site and make suggestions about how it can be improved over time.

Users who go to the farmers.gov website will see a drop down box where you can enter Colorado and narrow it further by county to find your nearest service center. The site includes a customizable data dashboard and links to Risk Management Service, Natural Resource Conservation Service and Farm Service agency.
