Country Natural Beef Co-Op Seeking CO Ranchers to Join

Country Natural Beef is a unique and true cooperative that links ranchers to ranchers, and ranchers directly to customers. CNB Marketing Director Stacy Davies says that the cooperative is actively seeking new participants in Colorado and surrounding states.

Davies: "Country Natural Beef is a cooperative that began 30 years ago in 1986. We've expanded into the Rocky Mountain region as customers have asked us for products from the Rocky Mountain region. We supply Whole Foods, Blue Apron and other customers who require us to have ranches, feeders and packers in that region of the U.S. We are looking for ranchers to join the co-op and help supply us with cattle so we can supply those beef needs as soon as now. We need to be killing cattle in April, May, June, July, August to fulfill those customers' needs. Country Natural Beef is a cooperative that supplies no antibiotics, no hormones and the cattle need to be Global Animal Partnership certified and from Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico and Nebraska — from that region."

Davies said in addition to meeting those required productions, the cooperative expects its ranchers to participate in meetings with retailers and host tours for those retailers as well as doing demos in the stores. These additional actives allow cooperative members to really connect with the end user and tell their own ranching story as well as connecting it to a product that consumers purchase.
