Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Conference

Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Conference

On January 27 and 28th in Loveland at the Embassy Suites, the Colorado Farm Bureau is hosting their annual Young Farmers and Ranchers Conference. On Friday there will be tours of local agricultural operations. Colorado Farm Bureau Coordinator of the Young Farmers and Ranchers Program Lori Kester shares more about Saturday the 28th's agenda.

Kester: "Then all day Saturday we have really good guest speakers and leadership development trainers coming in to work with our group. These will be on topics ranging from: how to improve your farm and ranch business; how to be a better leader in your community; learning from local business owners. There is a lot you can learn from older farmers who have been in the business a long time. Also people from other parts of Colorado from other industries that might have useful things to say to make your business better. Of course we invite other trade organizations. This year we will have Western Sugar coming to talk about their share of the ag industry and what is going on in sugar. Then we always have a banquet on Saturday night that is usually a good opportunity to meet people from around the state and get to make some friends that can be valuable connections for you later."

If you are a young farmer between the ages of 18 and 35 — this event is a great opportunity to network and socialize with your peer group and learn both leadership and business skills. For more information and to register go to coloradofarmbureau.com
