Colorado Ag Summit Happening in Wiggins on December 1st

On December first in Wiggins at the Long Meadow Game and Resort & Event Center, state wheat industry will be holding the Colorado Agriculture Summit. CO Assn of Wheat Growers Director of Communications Katharine Lotspeich says that anyone welcome to attend in addition to Colorado Association of Wheat Growers members. She shares

Lotspeich: "Our speakers include Vince Peterson from the U.S. Wheat Associates. He will betaking about What in the World is Going on with Wheat?" — regarding global wheat markets, what is happening with the glut that we have and especially the prices. We will have a panel from Ardent Mills talking about how consumer trends are driving business decisions. From the College of Agriculture at CSU, we have a talk about Endowment Chairs and the importance of planing for the future by Dean Ajay Menon of the College of Ag and Dr. Scott Haley who is the CSU wheat breeder. Also from CSU we have ClimateSmart Ag talking about the climate in Colorado and around the country and what that means for agriculture. From the Colorado Wheat Research Foundation the launch of a new technology available to Colorado's farmers next fall. There will be more information to com on that the actual day of. We will have a legislative panel of three to four Colorado legislators talking about the results of the elections and what that means for the country and particularly what is coming up in the Colorado legislature in 2017."
