Anyone who plans to apply fertilizers or pesticides through irrigation systems has to follow licensing and equipment requirements before chemigating. The Idaho Department of Agriculture says the requirements apply to private and professional applicators. It assures that they're competent in the calibration and management of chemigation sites and will provide protection to ground and surface water from accidental backflow of chemicals. Idaho companies or producers looking for information on global export financing can get it tomorrow. The Idaho Department of Commerce and Labor has teamed up with the Small Business Administration to put on a seminar in Boise to show potential exporters how to develop plans to maximize sales to foreign markets. Advance registration required by calling the SBA office in Boise, 334-1696. United Dairymen of Idaho are putting the finishing touches on their planned annual meeting October 31st through November 2nd. There will be plenty of state and national dairy experts there to talk about issues affecting Idaho producers. This year they've added a benefit auction, more events for the ladies and more vendors will be there this year.
