The Ad Against Pesticides

Smokey the Bear` telling us "Only You Can Prevent Forest Fires", or slogans like A Mind is a Terrible Thing to Waste", have made the Ad Council a trusted icon. But has the Ad Council, a non-profit organization abused our trust? I contend they have, given the fact the PSA's they are now airing were made in conjunction with Earth Share an environmental group with an anti pesticide agenda. Listen (audio from PSA)&&.. Do you really believe someone's IQ is lowered because of pesticides? Explain the classmate with the high IQ? Without pesticides our children could die from terrible diseases like Malaria and West Nile. We would do well to realize that the bounty of food we have enjoyed for decades exists because fertilizers and pesticides enable farmers to harvest more crops from less land. Apparently the Ad Council has climbed into the "kangaroo pouch" of extreme environmental groups. Guess the time is ripe to expose the hypocrisy.
