Limit up in Both the Livestock and Grain
I'm Tommy Allen with the Market Line Report for November 21st. Limit up in both the livestock and grain market as we close in on the holidays. Here's Jack Scoville with the market update from the floor of the CME in Chicago.Scoville- "If we don't see the rains show up next week we will be able to build on these gains. Corn and wheat both traded higher mostly within the sympathy of soy beans. There really wasn't any more news here today from those markets."
Chicago March Wheat ended last week up 2 3/4, at 486 3/4. March corn ended last week up 1/2, at 374 3/4. Portland prices for soft white wheat of ordinary protein for Jan, were up 2 3/4, ranging from 4-86 3/4 to 5-30 even. Hard Red Winter wheat with 11 ½ % protein, prices for Dec. were up 1 ¾, ranging from 5-62 1/4 to 5-72 1/4. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Dec. were dn 1 ¾, ranging from 6-26 1/4 to 6-46 1/4. Dec. live cattle rebounded at the close of last week back up $3, at 120.15. Jan. Feeder cattle also bounced back, up $4.50, at 148.75. Dec. class III milk was up 1 penny, at 14-53.
