Washington Cattlemen's and CattleWomen's Convention Will Be Here Soon

Today we are highlighting the upcoming Washington Cattlemen’s and CattleWomen Annual Convention that will happen at Suncadia in Cle Elum November 11th through the 14th. It will be a gorgeous setting for a very full agenda of issues and information as the Washington Cattlemen’s Association Executive Vice President Jack Field shares
Field: “I would say that producers need to attend because most importantly this is your industry, your association and your feedback and opinion drives the direction that WCA goes. We have some very critical issues of ahead of us whether it’s addressing our import requirements on livestock entering the state — particularly looking at trichimonious. There will be discussions on potential increasing funding into the beef checkoff program; as well as discussion on potential fee increases to the brand program with the fee realignments. Those are very important issues right there — not to mention looking at the variety of other issues through the land planning, public lands issues. Most importunely getting to talk to friends and neighbors that you might only get to see once a year.”
