Fear Babe Book Hopes to Arm Readers with Misinformation Radar

Those farmers and ranchers who are active on social media, may have heard of the Food Babe, Vani Hari, who is a self-proclaimed food activist and blogger — she has no scientific background and hates biotechnology and many modern ag practices. A soon-to-be released book: Fear Babe: Shattering Vani Hari’s Glass House was written by Science Advocate Kavin Senapathy — along with her co-authors Mark Alsip and Marc Draco. Senapathy says
Senapathy: “On misconception about this book is that we are going after Food Babe - which we are in a sense — but the Food Babe is just one symptom of a larger problem. I like to say she is one head on a misinformation Hydra. So if you have ever wondered about unscientific claims about food we kind of use her as a framework to examine some of the most ubiquitous food-related myths of our time, and debunk them. And also explore why they continue to proliferate in the face of mountains of evidence against them.We hope that the book help arms readers with the misinformation radar to give people the ability to smell B.S. from a mile away. The book, we hope, will help take people on a journey on how to spot misinformation and quackery.”
You can pre-order the book now on Amazon or Barnes and Noble websites. Its release date is October 29th.
