Syngenta Grow More Field Day

Syngenta Grow More Field Day

Yesterday I attended a Syngenta Grow More Field Day and had the opportunity with nearly 200 farmers to introduce new chemistry to growers and retailers and demonstrate through the trials how the products works. Syngenta Agronomy Service Representative Don Drader shares some of the exciting new products that are now available or will be soon.
Drader: “Most of the things we saw out there today — whether it be Trivapro our new fungicide for wheat and both field and sweet corn. Whether it be Talinor our new herbicide — that is a year away yet. Elatus for potatoes all those will be registered six to eight months so we may have some of those registered for this coming season. Acuron — is a new corn herbicide — was introduced this spring. We’ve got some out commercially. The trialing that we are doing is showing excellent control. It is a four-way blend. Another one that I haven’t mentioned is Orondis is a brand new mode-of-action fungicide — a U15. So it is a completely different mode-of-action than anything else in the market place. What I think we will see a use for that where we are seeing maybe some resistance with some of our old chemistry.”
Orondis, Drader adds, will be used first on potatoes and then wheat in the future.
