No Accountability
Sadly, journalism today lacks any accountability. Jean Carper columnist in the USA weekend magazine recently authored apiece titled "Acne link to milk and Sweets, claiming that acne outbreaks were 44 percent higher in skim milk drinkers than non drinkers. Her article failed to mention that the study was inconclusive, and didn't take into account other dietary considerations like junk food. The neutrality of her sources must be questioned when she finished the piece with the statement "possibly organic milk would be better". Knowing how devastating acne can be to I am appalled to think a teenage girl might pass up milk at the dinner table simply because her family can't afford the higher price of organic. I get a little hot under the caller when the health of our children is exchanged for a headline. While Ms. Caper will go ton to pen many more articles, that one small paragraph could leave her readers venerable to potential bone loss and other health issues arising from lack of calcium and nutrients provided by milk
