USPB Seminars Demonstrate Benefits and Uses of U.S. Dehydrated Potatoes

The United States Potato Board continually provides its international customers with opportunities through seminars and trade shows to learn about the benefits and applications of high quality U.S. dehydrated potato products. USPB Global Ingredient Marketing Manager TK Kuwahara shares some recent examples. The first in a well established market.
Kuwahara: “In Japan we showcase the benefits of using U.S. dehydrated to food manufactors making products for the aging population. Making delicious and nutritious food which older people want to eat and they can chew and swallow is really becoming a worldwide opportunity. Approximately half of the audience had not heard about U.S. dehydrated potatoes before and this really gives us the chance to get U.S. dehy into a new sector.”
She continues with an example of a newer U.S. potato market.
Kurwara: “In Myanmar Rex Calloway, an International Committee member, and I presented information on the U.S. Potato Board, U.S potato growing and the applications and benefits of U.S. dehydrated potatoes to potential new clients. It is really important in developing countries that they learned about U.S. potato products at the infancy stages so they start using it and it becomes a standard that they become accustom to.”
