Pacific Northwest Oilseed and Direct Seed Conference

Pacific Northwest Oilseed and Direct Seed Conference

The Pacific Northwest Oilseed and Direct Seed Conference is happening next week. Executive Director of the Pacific Northwest Direct Seed Association Kay Meyer gives more details about this year’s event happening January 20th through the 22nd at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick, Washington. There will be more than 85 different speakers throughout the conference speaking on a variety of topics.
Meyer: “We’ve got separated out into themes for each day. The first day is production strategies and innovations. The second day we are focusing on soil health and weed disease and pest management and the third day we are focusing on marketing and economics. The people who should be thinking about coming to this are producers who are wanting to get production information. What differentiates our conference is that it is focused on agricultural production. We will have a lot of information on production strategies, nutrient management, soil health; real specific things that are focusing on how to maximize moisture, maximize nutrients; precision ag; we have a UAV panel. And then a lot of industry and research experts are going to be presenting specific research and new trends that are occurring, varieties, as well as equipment and new technologies in precision ag.
Meyer says walk up registrations welcome but you can pre-register until Monday. Just go to www.directseed.org/events.
