Planning the Wine Industry Meeting. I'm Greg Martin with today's Fruit Grower Report.

It's quickly getting to that time of year when most of the crops are already in the barn and now it's time to get together with other producers and figure out what next year will be like. Vicky Scharlau with the Washington Association of Wine Grape Growers says they are in the process of working on this years program.

SCHARLAU: Either we developed a theme first and then all our educational sessions develop from theme or we develop the sessions first and then we come up with a theme though we have had a grower just call us and recommend that our theme for this year should be "Shock and Awe."

The 2014 grape harvest is proving to once again be a very large, record crop.

SCHARLAU: The crop has been amazing. Most people, I think, knew that this was going to be the biggest crop we've had of wine grapes to date and it's planned growth for the Washington wine industry. We can't have more tank space than we have grapes and more grapes than we have tank space so it's a very symbiotic relationship but as we prepare for our educational sessions which are actually, virtually all completed now for our February annual meeting and conference, I think that the levity of crop but also the quality is starting to make both winemakers and winegrowers a little giddy.
