Kubota For Tree Fruit. I'm Greg Martin with today's Fruit Grower Report.
Orchards have unique needs when it comes to tractors. Typical tractors just won't fit down narrow rows. Kent Brown with Kubota says they have really targeted this market.
BROWN: Kubota has always stood for quality and if nothing else we want to provide a quality product to our customer. We want them to be able to get the job done with value and innovation we've got and be dependable. If we can provide a product like that to our customers then we've done our job.
Brown talks about some of their specific series tractors.
BROWN: We've got from our narrow sized tractors in our M Series down to out smaller L Series and even our small B Series cat tractors fir down the narrow rows of vineyards and orchards very well. We've been really instrumental in trying to develop what you call niche markets. We realize the west coast is full of opportunity for Kubota products.
Brown says they have a machine for just about every need especially when it comes to the tight confines of orchards or vineyards.
BROWN: That is something we're trying to get into more and more. Most people think like agriculture - they think flat Kansas corn fields and wheat fields. We realize there's hillside farming and different types of farming that most people never realize is out there and we're looking to the future to become a supplier to our dealers and customers.
