USPB Hosts Hong Kong Media Event

The United States Potato Board hosted a media event in Hong Kong inviting food journalists to learn more about U.S. table stock potatoes.

USPB International Marketing Manager Sarah Reece shares more about the event that included information on potato varieties, nutritional information as well as cooking demonstrations.

Reece: “During the event, a local chef showcased U.S. potatoes in fresh and healthy dishes. Magazine, newspapers, and food bloggers all attended this event. These events are an important part of our international table stock program. Consumers in Hong Kong aren’t familiar with using potatoes as a part of their every day meals. So public relations events are designed to remind consumers about U.S. potatoes and their versatile applications.”

What kind of press has resulted since the event?

Reece: “In February and March, we saw five articles or blogs that were written about U.S. table stock potatoes and our event. These articles and blogs reached over 1.2 million Hong Kong consumers. The information included in these articles were about our media event and they also gave consumers recipes and tips to make U.S. potatoes in guilt-free desserts, in side dishes and even how to make potato dishes at home with your kids.”

That’s the U.S. Potato Update brought to you by the United States Potato Board, maximizing return on grower investment. ?
