A farmer drives up to the grain elevator in his semi-truck. He pulls out his RFID identification card that is scanned by a computerized reader. He drives over the scale that is read by a computer and then he pulls up to the unloading station. After unloading, he drives over another computerized scale. He receives a message on his smart phone that lists the weight of the loaded truck, the amount of grain he has delivered, and other information regarding his contract. He drives home. Funds are electronically deposited in his account from the sale.

 

Is that high-tech or what?  I talked with one of their sales managers. “Our sales booming? I don’t know the deep financial side but I know that I did very well this year. Is iRely a bunch of computer geeks who grew up on a farm ( laughter)? is a software company and some of the people are from agriculture but it is a diverse group of about 210 people.
