Election Day

Election Day

Halloween has come and gone for another year, and hopefully everyone had a safe and happy holiday. The next “scary” day we need to get through is right around the corner, election day! Most of us are just ready for it to be over. Hurricane Sandy, which created enough mud slinging on it’s own, slowed down the bombardment of each candidate’s campaign accusations against the “other guy” for just a brief time, but it’s once again full speed ahead as we race toward November 6th. Most of us have weighed the pros and cons of both sides, and made our decision about who will win our vote. Then there are those people who say they aren’t going to vote, either because they feel their vote doesn’t matter, or because they claim to just not care. These are the people who concern me the most, not those who choose to vote for the “other guy”. Choosing not to vote is akin to voluntarily throwing away your constitutional rights. If you want to make a difference in what happens with the future of this country, or even if you just want the right to complain about the next four years, then get out and vote. Otherwise, you’ll have to put up, and shut up.
