Blogging and reading blogs can certainly improve your knowledge of and skill at flyfishing.
One of my favorite old phrases is, if you’re going to run with the big dogs, you’re going to have to learn to lift your leg. Well believe it or not, if you’re going to run with the big fish, you may have to go to our fly fishing guru and correspondent Josh Mills’ blog. “Where I spend a lot of my time online is cultivating and developing my blog and that is Millsfly.com What I do on there is post all my funny stories, observations on conservation and then there are a lot of links to some phenomenal resources online and other blogs that are out there doing a great job with photography, trip reports, it’s a wonderful way to document what I have been doing. A lot of it is shedding some light on some great new projects in conservation or what’s going on with the steelhead run this year. so if you have a 2nd to get out onto Internet land and if you are looking for something to check out, check out Millsfly.com and I would appreciate it. Josh that’s like a student needing to know some information and going to the Encyclopedia Britannica. Oh easy there, I try to learn as much as I can, but you pass out a few tips and stuff like that. Most people get their newspaper showing up every day, well I get on my blog every morning and look at the rest of the blogs and it is all about the stuff that I want to hear about and whether that be what’s going on here or what’s going on there, it’s a great personalized way for you to look at the things that you want to look at.
