Hi I’m Susan Allen for you avid hunters and ranchers who wish to better understand the impact of the grey wolf management on wildlife and cattle you’ll want to attend the Grey Wolf Management Symposium May 12 in Albany Ore. Back after the break.
The Oregon Cattlemen’s Association is one of the sponsors of the Grey Wolf Management Symposium; President Curtis Martin had this to say:

Curtis Martin: The speakers we have lined up are experts, many former wildlife biologists’ or retired from other departments of Fish and Game in different states so that they had the past experience with wolf interactions not only with big game but domestic livestock for many years, a preview of what we can expect in Oregon. Actually the sponsoring entity is the Oregon Animal Damage Management Council which is a branch ofthe Oregon hunters Association and they and the Oregon Cattlemen’s Association have partnered on this in part to emphasize what we can expect the impact on big game populations to be.
Martin is encouraging ranchers throughout  the Northwest to attend but also says he expects a big turn out from Wallowa County.

Martin:
There’s going to be a lot of folks from Wallow County who have been up against this issue for over three years now.

The free  Grey Wolf Management Symposium is from 8:00 a.m.to 5:00 p.pm Saturday May 12 at the Linn County Fair and Expo Center in Albany Oregon for more information contact the Oregon Cattlemen’s Association .
