2-1 SS Rod Holder

Marcus Williams has become my new best friend when it comes to educating me about ice fishing. We recently had a conversation about using one rod or many rods and it turns out there is some information you should have. “If the fishing is good then a lot of guys say they have a hard time keeping track of 5 rods, they just put out one or 2 and have a good time. When you put it out, do you just stand the thing up, how do you know? There are little spring bobbers that you can put on the end of your rod tip and when you see that thing nodding a little bit the classic way of doing things is with a tip up and when a fish grabs your bait it kind of takes off it releases this flag and the flag stands up in the air to let you know that there is something going on because you might not be standing right next to it, you might be 100 yards away. So you can look across the ice and see that one of your tip ups has something attached and you go over and do your best to land that fish. There’s a guy that builds a system that he calls jigger totters, they are a cleverly designed rod balancing system. You clip your rod in there and it teeter totters back and forth a little bit and jigs your bait for you, but there are a few different ways to go as far as that is concerned, some guys would just use a straight rod holder, but the disadvantage to that is if you don’t get to your rod in time then you can lose your whole set up down an ice hole.
