You’ve heard of American Idol, America’s got Talent, Starsearch…all these contestants can do is sing, dance, juggle or make pigeons appear out of thin air. Let’s talk real talent next. Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul, David Hasselhoff and Sharon Osborne...move over. I got a call from Russ Hendricks at Idaho Farm Bureau asking me to be a judge Thursday the 29th at the Farm Bureau office out in Caldwell. Judge?” Me? Judge of what? Here’s Russ with a description of the Discussion Meet Competition: “ Leadership building opportunity that we have for our young farmers and ranchers in the Farm Bureau. The reason that we have the competition is that more and more it’s important that farmers and ranchers become involved in the political process and working with elected leaders at local, state and national level. This gives them the opportunity to discuss current issues and be in front of an audience and get their point of view across and have some give and take.”
