11/27/08 Favorite Toasts

Welcome to Vine to Wine this is your host Linda Moran. Happy Thanksgiving! Today is, by far, my favorite holiday. I mean what could be better than spending time with family and friends, relaxing, eating great food, lovingly prepared, while you sip your favorite wine? Speaking of sipping wine I want to share some of my favorite Thanksgiving toasts! When I finally sit down at the Thanksgiving table, I am always astounded at how sentimental I feel. This has a good deal to do with the fact that it is my favorite holiday and I want to be prepared with just the right toast to celebrate that day. Here are a few of my favorites. To all of you, and to my good fortune at having you here, I am happiest when good friends inhabit my table. To all of you, thank you for sharing and celebrating this day and may the upcoming holidays be filled with laughter and joy. May the hinges of friendship never rust, nor the wings of love lose even a feather. Happy Thanksgiving! Here's to the art of living and loving well and thank you all for being here to share it. Here's to eternity  may we spend it in as good company as we find ourselves tonight. May we never live without poetry music or art. May we never live without conscience passion and hope But most of all may we never live without the love of friends and family. Cheers to all of you and thank you for being here.
