Yesterday, I introduced you to the agendas of several animal rights activist groups. I'm Jeff Keane; today I'll explain a little more about these people and their thoughts right after this.
Animal Rights 2008 was a showcase convention where hundred of animal rights activists gathered at a Washington D.C. site last month. Reports from KTIC840 Rural Radio were there and collected some over the top ideas and agendas from convention speakers. As I told you yesterday, speakers for groups such as Win Animal Rights (WAR) support terrorist acts such as fire bombing as a tool toward animal liberation. Steve Hindi, president of Showing Animals Respect and Kindness (SHARK) mused with this thought aloud. "You want media? Al Qaeda gets media. Why don't we get that?" I think I can really feel kindness pouring from his heart. A general theme of the convention was abolishing animal agriculture one small step at a time. Other agenda items included using the value of You Tube for communication and this little jewel ideal techniques to indoctrinate children and youth. KTIC reporters stated the majority of convention-goers were middle-aged, single women and the professions most represented by those interviewed were lawyers and teachers. How do people in animal agriculture combat these agendas? I can think of two quick answers. One, always use the best animal husbandry methods raising your livestock and number two be real careful who you vote into public office or elect as judges. I'm Jeff Keane.
