Apparently men are better off shooting a remote control at the nearest TV than being out in the woods deer hunting. According to a Rueters report activities associated with deer hunting; walking over rough terrain, tracking and dragging a carcass are now considered dangerous and put men at risk for heart attacks. This earth shattering research was based on just 25 middle aged men who either smoked, had high cholesterol or high blood pressure, yet CNN and others ran with the headlines "Deer Hunting May Put Men's Hearts at Risk. (Tell me that animals rights activist can't infiltrate the press.) Last season all duck hunters were going to get bird flue! Now spotting a Boone and Crocket buck, wild parties at deer camp or even a hunter in your favorite stand could get the old ticker pumping . And why are these researchers adamant that meeting your maker while hunting in the woods is a such terrible thing! I can think of a lot worse places for a heart to stop, a rest home for one!
