This is the question PETA wants all fisherman to ponder this summer as the animal rights groups makes plans to unveil the worlds first Fish Empathy Quilt. In the wake of the popular AIDES exhibit PETA hopes the touring Fish Empathy Quilt will put a stop to America's consuming passion for fishing. Handcrafted by "fishy" advocates throughout the United States and more than 300 feet long with over 100 squares of "fishisms" the quilt is designed to make any bass master shudder. And you thought PETA only targeted hunters! PETA contends that "Billions of fish are killed each year so that people can eat their flesh, while millions more are ripped from their homes for "fun 'by anglers." So PETA's new passion is to ban the bobber, free the worm and get rid of the barbless fly, for in the eyes of fish advocates even catch and release tactics can rip the lips and traumatize poor Terry the trout.
