FIRA USA in Yakima
From the Western Ag Network, I’m Bob Larson with today’s Fruit Grower Report. FIRA USA is the premier three-day event where agricultural robotics and AgTech meet growers and their real-world needs. And this year, it’s coming to the Pacific Northwest, in Yakima.
Ines Hanrahan, Executive Director at the Washington Tree Fruit Research Commission, says FIRA USA will be at the Central Washington State Fair Grounds October 20-22 …
HANRAHAN … “This is not your average robotics show where you go to a meeting and then you look at some things. This is actually very interactive. So, it’s a combination of having machine suppliers show their equipment but also show how it works.”
And Hanrahan says FIRA USA will have something for everyone who appreciates farming …
HANRAHAN … “We really hope the community comes out, checks things out and welcomes all of those, basically, tech geeks into the community. I think this is a really rare opportunity for us to be the center of ag tech for once. And I do know that Yakima is a very welcoming town, and I know that everybody that is coming to visit us will have a very good time.”
