07/18/07 Why I Like Rod Stewart!

You know, I have always liked Rod Stewart, and today I like him even more for taking a stand against the pollution produced by the Live Earth Concerts. It wasn't the amount of carbon footprints at the venue that heated the famous rock star up, rather it was the "noise" pollution, the trash language spewed by celebrities like Chris Rock and Madonna. Apparently Rock's dialogue was so filthy that the television host Jonathan Ross apologized to viewers for Rock's foul mouth. Seems Madonna intelligently explained the climate crisis by screaming at the audience "If you want to save the planet let me see you jumpin up and down". "Come on you Mother pleep pleeps". After the London Live Earth flop Rod Stewart remarked that he if he ever swore again on stage he would pay a fine for each explicative used to his fans. He said and I quote, " I listened to the people effing and blinding during the Live Earth Concert last weekend and it just sounded so cheap." Live Earth's only success could be in exposing how degrading the music industry has become. Hey what ever happened to Tipper Gores crusade to clean up lyrics and make rock and hip hop more youth appropriate?
