Welcome to Vine to Wine, this is your host Linda Moran and today is Friday, and it is definitely a time to chill out and unwind from the week. I suggest staying in and having a casual evening with a few close friends. Of course a nice bottle of wine is in order. But what defines a "nice" bottle of wine?
Hmm& such a dilemma & What is a nice bottle of wine? Well in order to answer this question I did a quick little unofficial survey of my friends and acquaintances. Here are a few of the answers. Some of them surprised me others did not but my hope was to gain some consensus as to the definition of a "nice bottle of wine". Here are a few of the responses sound like anyone you know?
"A nice wine is a wine that is smooth and easy to drink."
"A nice wine is one that I actually like enough to look at the label and try to remember it."
"A nice wine is & I don't know& well & maybe one that was a part of a great memory, it's really more about the people and the place sometimes, you know. When things are good the wine just tastes better."
"A nice wine is a wine that is expensive and someone else bought it for me." (Trust me I expected that kind of an answer from her.)
"A nice wine is a wine that doesn't give me a headache even if I drink too much of it." (As did that answer from him not surprise me.)
Well I guess the long and the short of it is that a "nice wine" is whatever is meaningful to you no matter who bought it. And thanks for joining me on today's Vine to Wine.
