Welcome to Vine to Wine, this is your host Linda Moran. I am having a love affair. Yes, it is true, I'm having a love affair. I was not prepared for this. However, I slowly began to feel that tingle, that feeling of anticipation and excitement, maybe even on the edge. Well it began as a "crush" of sorts. I had to do the pursuing. However, as time went by the barriers were broken down and secrets were revealed. As I became more familiar with my new love, I learned to focus and concentrate and be more receptive to the subtleties of the relationship. I am learning to actually appreciate the differences, rather than want things to be predictable and comfortable. You see two and a half years back I moved from the Seattle area to Washington Wine Country and I am in love! There is a beauty here that can take your breath away. It often reveals itself when you least expect it. Like when you are sitting outdoors at a winery on a brilliant spring day and just as you lift that glass of Gewurztraminer to your nose there is a moments' hesitation when you think ... should I drink it or dab it behind my ears? The perfume is intoxicating! Speaking of intoxicating - there is nothing like being in a vineyard when it is in bloom. It will soon be Spring in Washington wine country and I encourage you to visit early and make it a priority to get out into the vineyards. Things are very different once you realize that getting off the highway is the only way to experience Washington wine country. I am certain you will be charmed. Remember to send your wine questions to Linda at vine to wine dot net and thank you for joining me on today's Vine to Wine.
