**Florida Farm Bureau member Kate English of Fort Myers has been appointed to the EPA’s Farm, Ranch and Rural Communities Federal Advisory Committee.
English is one of 21 new members selected to provide independent policy advice and recommendations to the EPA on key environmental issues affecting agriculture and rural communities.
English is a Partner with Pavese Law Firm, where she represents clients in agricultural, environmental, land use and natural resource matters.

**Six Democratic senators are seeking answers from the USDA after a major error in U.S. beef export sales data raised concerns about the reliability of federal ag statistics.
USDA previously reported beef export sales that appeared to surge nearly 500%, then revised the figure downward by about 90%.
Reuters reported in July that incorrect sales to Italy and
Chile were among the data problems.
USDA described the incident as an isolated issue.
