Washington Ag November 6, 2006 The 87Th Annual Convention of the Washington Farm Bureau is next week, November 13th through the 16th at the Yakima Convention Center. The Farm Bureau's Gary Joiner says two events are being held next Monday in conjunction with the convention.
Joiner: "For the first time this year we are hosting a Farm Bureau Labor Conference on that Monday, November 13th. It is a separate registration. It is a separate program but held in the same facility. As well we are hosting for the first time a Commodity Commission Forum in which several Washington commodity commissions will have an opportunity to spend an hour with their producers and then come together for a general session in which we will be talking about the issue of trade and how important trade is to all agricultural commodities in the state."
The Labor Conference runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. next Monday. The Commodity Commission Forum goes from 1 p.m. to 4:15.
Joiner: "And then the remainder of the week we continue our business of Farm Bureau with policy resolution discussion, with general speakers and information programs and overall a good time."
