**U.S. wheat exports posted their strongest performance in five years during the 2025-2026 marketing year, providing a bright spot for wheat growers facing low commodity prices.
The marketing year ended May 31 with export inspections totaling 23.7 million metric tons, or 871 million bushels.
That’s nearly 15% higher than the previous year and marked the largest export volume since the 2020-2021 marketing year.
Over 55 countries purchased U.S. wheat during the year.
**Global demand for crop protection products will continue growing over as farmers work to protect yields and meet rising food demand.
According to a new MarketsandMarkets report, the global crop protection chemicals market will grow from $83.3 billion in 2025 to $106.3 billion by 2030, an annual growth rate of 5%.
Researchers say growth is being driven by the need to control weeds, insects, and diseases that threaten crop production.
