Enrollment is now open for the 2026 crop year with the U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol, giving California cotton growers the chance to highlight the work happening in their fields while connecting with growing demand for responsibly produced U.S. cotton.

The Trust Protocol is the voluntary, field level sustainability program and traceability platform for U.S. Cotton. Growers who take part receive data and tools that support on farm decision making while helping demonstrate how their cotton is produced for the global marketplace.

“Protocol Growers have made meaningful progress on the farm in producing responsibly grown cotton, and the Trust Protocol provides a trusted system to measure and verify that work,” said Gary Adams, President of the U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol.

New for the 2026 crop year is the Field Partner Program. This voluntary opportunity allows growers to show regenerative farming practices using the existing Trust Protocol system, while giving brands and retailers access to verified, traceable regenerative U.S. Cotton.

California growers interested in participating are encouraged to enroll now and begin preparing their farm and field information for the upcoming crop year.
