Cattle Research Meets the Rancher
California cattle research is getting a chance to move out of the lab and in front of the people who may actually put it to work.
The California Cattlemen’s Association is calling for posters for its 2026 Cattlemen’s Poster Session, held during the annual CCA and California CattleWomen Convention and California Cattle Industry Tradeshow in Reno this December.
The idea is pretty simple: give researchers and educators a chance to share ongoing work related to beef cattle production directly with an audience made up largely of cattle producers.
And organizers aren’t asking researchers to reinvent the wheel. Posters that have already been presented elsewhere are welcome, and participants can bring more than one from their lab or program.
Posters can cover anything related to beef cattle production or education, although producer-focused information is encouraged. They’re limited to 48 inches by 48 inches.
The formal poster session runs from two to four p.m. on Thursday, December third, during the convention at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa. Poster information is due October eighth.
