There’s exciting news for both the next generation of ag students and today’s farming leaders.The Georgia Foundation for Agriculture is accepting 2026 scholarship applications, offering a total of $66,000 to support students pursuing ag-related degrees. Whether you’re a high school senior planning to study agriculture, a college student deep into your major, or a vet-med student focused on large animals, there’s a scholarship that fits. And in Florida, Woody Larson of Larson Dairy in Okeechobee has been named the 2026 Florida Farm Bureau Farmer of the Year. Larson helped expand his family’s dairy to more than 12,000 cows and has spent decades mentoring young farmers through 4-H and FFA. He will represent Florida at events throughout the year and compete in Moultrie, Georgia, for the 2026 Sunbelt Ag Expo Southeastern Farmer of the Year title.
