It’s National Farmers Market Week, and one Florida farm is sharing its story all the way from Jasper to Washington, D.C.

Chase and Amber Cannady, members of the Florida Farm Bureau, are representing the Sunshine State at the USDA’s Great American Farmers Market this week. Held in the heart of D.C., the event brings together more than 30 farmers from across the country to showcase the diversity of American agriculture.

The Cannadys own North Florida Elderberry in Jasper, where they grow, harvest, and handcraft a line of elderberry products—including juices, syrups, and even balsamic vinegar. It’s just their second year in business, but they’re already making waves.

“We’re here to share our story and get the word out about the products we have available,” Chase says.

Right now, their elderberry goods are sold primarily in Florida, but they’re working to expand beyond the state.

The Great American Farmers Market, part of National Farmers Market Week running through August 8, celebrates farms like the Cannadys’—bringing fresh, local products directly to customers, one market at a time.
