There are few things more critical and limiting in western agriculture than water. But not all the problems are in getting rights to that water. Often problems emerge in making sure irrigation is distributed thoroughly and efficiently. Andrew Coppin says solving these problems with technology has transformed Ranchbot Monitory Solutions from a simple water monitoring system to a full-scale water infrastructure solutions company.
Coppin… “Every ranch has got one or two water locations that are ones that cause 90% of your problems. We like to go to ranches and say, let's solve those really problematic water points, and then we'll take it from there. And obviously a lot of people always wanna try and find the easy solutions to solve. We love to solve the hard ones. And then ranches get a sense of, Hey, wow, thing actually really works. And then they start thinking about, you know, what are the other opportunities in remote monitoring? And that's which led, that's what led us down the path of providing remote monitoring over water flow, over water pressure, over pumps. So, you know, we can now turn pumps on and off remotely. We can monitor water flow in pipes. We can monitor water pressure in pipes. So we went from this basic core of water monitoring for livestock to being a whole water infrastructure solutions company.
