**The USDA’s cotton projections for 2025-26 indicate a decrease in global production when compared to the previous marketing year.

World cotton production is projected at 117.8 million bales in 2025-26, nearly 3% below 2024-25, but among the largest crops of the last several years.

Projections for the biggest cotton-producing countries are mixed.

American cotton production is expected to marginally rise to 14.5 million bales in 2025-26.

**President Trump’s Make America Healthy Again Commission released its report Thursday, blaming several factors for chronic illnesses, especially in children.

A big concern for U.S. agriculture was pesticides.

The report says American farmers rely on these products, and actions to further regulate or restrict crop protection tools must involve thoughtful consideration of what’s necessary.

It adds, understanding links between chemical exposure and chronic illness cannot happen through a European regulatory system.

**During the next several weeks, the National Ag Statistics Service will conduct the June Agricultural Survey.

The agency will contact 92,000 producers across the nation to determine crop acreage and stock levels as of June 1st.

NASS Administrator Joseph Parsons says producer responses provide essential information used by farmers and ranchers, USDA, exporters, researchers, economists, policymakers, and others to inform a wide range of decisions.

NASS will publish the data June 30.
